Alfonal OL is a nonionic surfactant commonly used as a detergency booster, anticorrosive and skin-protective agent in industrial degreasing and cleaning agents, such as engine cleaners. Furthermore, it serves as an agent providing for enhanced scourability and rinsability of water-free oils and hydraulic fluids. It can also form a component of aqueous emulsions for metal cutting and non-corrosive working fluids.
Alfonal OL is also an ingredient in fabric conditioners and personal care products such as shampoos, conditioners or water-free soaps. Its antistatic, anticorrosive and emulsifying properties are made use of in coatings, rubber and oil industries as well as emulsion polymerization.
